Frequently Asked Questions

Who attends Inanna Retreats?

The retreats typically include 6-8 people of all ages. Most retreats include men and women, however some are gender or age specific topics.

The retreats are hosted and led by Dr. Sandra Cox herself.

How strenuous is the experience?

While the accommodations and activities aren’t extreme, participants should be in healthy physical condition and able to hike a minimum of 3 miles a day.

How do I pay for the retreat?

Once you register for a retreat, we will send you an invoice in Paypal. Your spot in the retreat is not considered complete until payment is received in full.

What if I have to cancel?

The cancellation policy provides a 100% refund up to 60 days prior to the start of the retreat and 50% after that. This is due to the constraints placed on venues and accommodations that are being rented.

What are the sleeping arrangements?

Some retreats may offer accommodations where there are multiple bedrooms with one to two beds each, thus some participants may have to bunk up with one another in a room (same gender, only), while other accommodations may be dormitory style or boutique hotels. Participants should read the details of the retreat they are choosing and the description of accommodations in order to determine their level of comfort with the offering.

What should I bring on the retreat?

Each retreat will be different. Please read the details of the retreat you are choosing for more information.

Will I be able to access WIFI and use my phone?

Because of the variability of locations and accommodations, you may or may not have access to WiFi. All retreats will be held within cell service, however. The use of cellphones or computers will be limited to a 30 minute period of time per day in order to facilitate the attention of the participants on the retreat activities and their benefits.

What are the hours of retreat participation?

Most of our retreats are immersive, beginning at breakfast and extending until bedtime, in order to maximize the experience for participants. Some retreats may be less intense and allow for time to explore the surrounding areas or just rest. Please see the details of each retreat.

Will there be breaks and will I have alone time?

Because the work can be intensive, your retreat will have built-in breaks for resting, journaling or just being, during the day and in the evening.

What type of food will be included and can you accommodate food restrictions?

Depending on the accommodations and venue, we usually have a Continental Breakfast and dinner provided. You will be responsible for your lunches, so bring whatever sounds good to you and we can make runs to local food stores as needed. A menu for dinners will be sent out prior to the retreat, from which you can choose. You will be able to indicate food restrictions on that menu.

What if it rains?

Please look ahead at weather forecasts and pack accordingly. Bring clothing to layer and for rain and bring comfortable shoes. Inside clothing can be yoga pants or whatever is comfortable short of pajamas.

Are the post-retreat calls required?

Although not required, the post-retreat calls are highly recommended. The transformation you may experience can require support as you reenter your life. Many find it helpful to have time to process what they have discovered during the retreat and how those discoveries now require adjustments in their lives. Although finding one's true nature is why participants choose the immersive retreats, many are unprepared for how their lives must change in order to accommodate their true and wild selves.

Weekly group calls for the first month are highly recommended in order to share experiences and support one another throughout the creation of their new lives. Dr. Cox guides the calls via Zoom and offers helpful suggestions and support, as well. The first month of calls is offered in a package and is $500/person. Should you choose to participate in another 2 months of calls, they will be held every other week at a cost of $500/person for the two months.
